Sunapee Demo Day

I never wrote about demo day – and now that the snow is a distant memory in our yard, these snowy pictures look awfully intense. Demo day is exactly what it sounds like – you get to try out skis. Getting ready for spring

It’s definitely mud season around here, which makes it really hard to do much in the way of outdoor sports. This week was supposed to be my “recovery” week, but it ended up being kind of challenging and kind of not at the same time… challenging in that I had every kind of quality workout scheduled for the week, but not challenging in that I nailed all of them. Sad, right? I say “might” because I’m still holding out hope that once I actually learn how to do it, I’ll really love XC (cross-country) skiing. Citrus Shortbread recipe: perfect with Tisano Tea or any other time

And here is the promised cookie recipe from last week! I made these twice, once with oranges and once with grapefruit. I was honestly hoping the grapefruit version would turn out, but I think I used a little too much zest (I doubled what I have written below!) So, take it easy on the zest here, but you can substitute any citrus fruit you like. Grapefruit and orange are the two I tried, but there’s lemon as well (mix with almond extract instead of vanilla)....
